What Makes Us Different

Natural Materials

Natural Materials

We use solid wood and plant-based dyes from turmeric, coffee, henna etc Nothing synthetic, nothing hidden — just materials you can name and trust

Handcrafted, Not Mass-Made

Handcrafted, Not Mass-Made

Each toy is shaped, turned, and finished by skilled artisans using techniques passed down over generations. This is a slow craft — where time, skill, and patience shape every toy

Designed With Intention

Designed With Intention

No lights, no sounds, no batteries. Thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate toys that respect a child’s attention — not compete with it.

OUR BELIEF

OUR BELIEF

Today’s baby toys are often loud, overstimulating, and quickly replaced. We believe play should feel calm, safe, and intentional. Babies don’t need more toys — just a few thoughtful ones, familiar hands, and space to explore. That’s why we craft toys slowly, using honest materials made to be held, explored, and returned to. Less noise. More presence.

THE CRAFT — 200 Years of Living Tradition

Every BabySquad toy is made in Channapatna, India — a town practicing this craft for over 200 years, known for hand-turned wooden toys and natural colorwork.

Each piece is shaped slowly by skilled artisans, many of them women, using techniques passed down through generations.

It takes hours to make a single toy. It takes years to master the craft — impossible to replicate by machine.
